Rating: 5 out of 5.

Alfie a retired pro footballer (yes as in soccer) decides to write a tell all memoir. He expected to open up about his life but he was never expecting the curvy ghost writer, Mabel. But when they get caught by the paparazzi, they take their relationship to a “fake” level.

When Grumpy Met Sunshine ticked all my boxes when it came to a good wholesome romance. There was bonding over parents, a FMC who is capable of her abilities but not about her looks. Alfie makes sure he loves every inch of this curvy writer.

I gave it five stars because I TRULY loved it. The banter between Alfie and Mabel made me laugh all the time. When they were bonding over their childhoods, it made me so emotional and I loved it. Going into this book, I wasn’t expecting to love it but came out the other side obsessed.

Pick up this book TODAY at your local bookstore and settle in. You’ll laugh, cry, and be rooting for this couple. Enjoy this book with a good cup of tea 🫖

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to @netgalley and @charlotte.stein for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
