This was a solid 3 star for me. The beginning didnโ€™t really draw me in, but once the action started, it was fast paced and I couldnโ€™t put it down. There are plenty of reviews out there if you want to know the plot; Iโ€™m just going to share my impressions.

๐Ÿ“ Spider-Dan was great, but I wonโ€™t be able to look at strawberry jam the same way after this

๐Ÿ“Not a fan of the portrayal of people with psychological issues as dangerous and/or scary

๐Ÿ“ There were too many things that didnโ€™t make sense logically. While I understand the need to suspend disbelief in books sometimes, the author needs to help you get there and I feel this fell flat

๐Ÿ“ It was difficult to get into the story at the beginning. The end kinda redeems it, but not enough to bump up the rating

Overall, I liked this thriller but it wonโ€™t be on my list of recommendations for someone looking for a great read.

Medical student Amy Brenner is spending the night on a locked psychiatric ward.Amy has been dreading her evening working on Ward D, the hospitalโ€™s inpatient mental health unit. There are very specific reasons why she never wanted to do this required overnight rotation. Reasons nobody can ever find out.
