Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I was not prepared for this debut book from Atlas Blaine. It’s suspenseful with dark dystopian cyberpunk vibes, surprising depth to relationships between the assassins, and great world building that moves the plot along (my favorite kind). I didn’t want to put it down but apparently I have to work if I want to get paid.

That said, I would like to see more on the history and interactions between the characters (especially Camden).

I picture the setting to be a bit like this older TV show called “Dark Angel” with Jessica Alba & Michael Weatherly (before he became Dinozzo) with some James Bond intrigue, Tony Stark weaponry, and Avengers relationships.

There are questions left unanswered at the end, but it will be a series, so I’m anxiously looking forward to the next installment.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
